This report was prepared in advance of the Committee's examination of Liberia's second, third and fourth periodic reports under the Convention in September 2012. It scrutinizes Liberia's implementation of the Convention and the progress made since it was last before the Committee in 2004. The report focuses specifically on security sector reform - and the continued difficulty of age verification mechanisms in a country with low birth registration and certification rates - accountability, and the disarmament, demobilization, rehabilitation and reintegration programs. It puts forward certain recommendations and requests that further information on several issues be sought by the Committee.
